JV2 Boys have a strong opener!

The JV2 Boys Soccer team traveled to New Hampton and opened with a strong 5-1 victory!  Even though there has been less than a week of practice, the team worked together, spaced the field, and had excellent passing en route to their first win.  The first goal of the season was scored by the speedy Tei Lee '26 with a solid 1-on-1 move to open up the shooting opportunity.  Next, Henry Elliot '26 placed an excellent score, also after beating his defender.  Sophomore Shangshang Tong '25 finished the first half scoring with a blast to the opposite corner that was never in doubt.  After giving up a goal to start the second half, the Wildcats added to the scoreboard, again with a goal by Shangshang, assisted by versatile Landon Paul '26.  Landon concluded the scoring with his own goal after a half-field footrace with two New Hampton defenders.  Defensively, the Wildcats were supported by strong efforts by the whole team, notably Cale Goodnow '25, Theo Starosta '23, and Ton Trimaitreepituk '23.  Outside midfielders kept the field spread, led by Jake Parodneck '25 and Conor LeRoy '26.  Great effort by all, and the season looks promising!
