Kimball Union Welcomes New Faculty to Campus

Thirteen new faculty members join the Kimball Union community for the 2021-22 academic year, bringing a wealth of experience and expertise across campus to each academic department, as well as student and residential life, athletics, college advising, advancement, and admission.

Dr. Ines Camacho
Dr. Camacho joins the Science Department from The Canary Islands. She holds a Ph.D. and masters in astrophysics, as well as an M.Ed. with specialization in high school physics, all from The University of La Laguna. Dr. Camacho is teaching AP Physics and Conceptual Physics. She lives in Welch Dormitory with her husband, Dr. Joseph Putko, and their two children, Carlitos and Sofia.


Kim Cooper
Kim Cooper joins the English Department from The White Mountain School, having also worked at the Berkshire School and Rumsey Hall. Ms. Cooper, a Brewster Academy alum, holds a B.A. in English and creative writing from St. Lawrence University and an M.A. in Literature from the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English. Ms. Cooper teaches ninth-grade English, coaches JV Girls Soccer, and is the head dorm parent in Richards Dormitory, where she lives with her wife Allison Letourneau.


Mattie Ford DiNapoli
Mattie Ford DiNapoli joins the Science and History Departments teaching sustainability and global economics. Ms. Ford DiNapoli, a Holderness School alum, holds a B.A. in economics from Middlebury College and a certification in integrative nutrition health coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. Ms. Ford DiNapoli will coach Alpine Skiing and Varsity Lacrosse, and lives in Huse House with her husband, Vinnie, and their two children Emerson and Rocco. 


Dr. Robin Garner
Dr. Garner joins the Arts Department focusing on vocal music, music history, and music direction for the winter musical. Dr. Garner comes with years of teaching experience, most recently at Ashley Hall and Christ Church Episcopal School – both in South Carolina. Dr. Garner earned her Ph.D. from the University of Limerick in Ireland, an Ed.D. in music from Columbia University, an M.M. from Westminster Choir College, and a B.M. from Mars Hill College. Dr. Garner teaches Introduction to Piano, The History of Music, conducts one-on-one vocal and piano lessons, directs The Concordians and Selects vocal groups, and lives on campus in Richards Dormitory.


Allison Letourneau
Allison Letourneau joins the Admission Office as the Director of Enrollment Management. She comes to KUA from White Mountain School where she served as Associate Head of School for Enrollment Management. Ms. Letourneau, a graduate of Berkshire School, holds a B.A. and an M.A., both in political science, from The University of New Hampshire, and is currently enrolled in Columbia University’s Master’s Degree Program for Private School Leadership. Ms. Letourneau lives in Richards Dormitory with her wife, Kim Cooper.


Natalie Lynd
Natalie Lynd joins the Math Department after teaching at Kingswood Oxford School. Ms. Lynd holds B.S. in Biology from Bates College and is completing her M.S. in Science Teaching from Montana State University. She teaches Geometry and Algebra, coaches Cross Country and Outing Club, and lives in Jones House with her husband Noah.


Noah Lynd
Noah Lynd joins the Science Department after teaching at Kingswood Oxford School. Mr. Lynd holds a a B.A. from Bates College and a bachelor of engineering from Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College. Mr. Lynd teaches AP physics, will coach baseball in the spring, and lives in Jones House with his wife Natalie.


Dr. Ryan McKeon
Dr. McKeon joins KUA as the STEM Director, having most recently taught in the Geography Department at Dartmouth College. He holds a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Lehigh University, an M.Sc in Earth Sciences from Montana State University, and a B.A. from Colorado College. He completed his postdoctoral work at Caltech and is currently a Visiting Scholar in Earth Sciences at Dartmouth College. He teaches Design Thinking, Computer Science, and Digital Fabrication. He also serves as co-director of the STEM Scholar Program, works with STEM Activity, and recreational skiing. He is the head dorm parent in Dexter Dormitory, where he lives with his wife Tricia, and their children Hadleigh and Opal.


Angelica Pascual
Angelica Pascual joins the Student Life Office from the Boston Public School System and The Governor’s Academy. She is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College and an alum of Proctor Academy. In Student Life, Ms. Pascual will work with the Dean of Community Life and Belonging to develop a co-curricular program including DEI and restorative-justice programing and will also serve as the Ninth Grade Dean. She coaches Varsity Girls Basketball and JV Field Hockey, and lives on campus in Brooks Cottage with her partner Victor and daughter Nova.


Henry Ponnefz
Henry Ponnefz joins the World Languages Department after two decades of teaching experience at Stansbury Academy and Weilenmann School of Discovery – both in Utah. A native of Cartagena, Colombia, Mr. Ponnefz holds a B.A. in Spanish from Weaver State University, and both an M.B.A. and B.A. in chemistry from Brigham Young University. Mr. Ponnefz teaches Spanish II, IV, and V, and lives on campus in Mikula Dormitory.


Chloe Prudden
Chloe Prudden joins the College Advising Office as Assistance Director of College Advising from The Pomfret School. Ms. Prudden, a graduate of Proctor Academy, holds a B.A. from The University of New Hampshire. She is the assistant coach for the Girls Varsity Soccer and Girls Varisty Basketball teams. She lives in Rowe Dormitory with her husband, Tucker and their daughter Mija.


Tucker Prudden
Tucker Prudden joins the Learning Center as a learning specialist. He comes to KUA from the Pomfret School and Proctor Academy. Mr. Prudden, a graduate of Tabor Academy, holds a B.A. from Quinnipiac University and an M.Ed. from New England College. Mr. Prudden will coach Boys Varsity Lacrosse, and lives in Rowe Dormitory with his wife Chloe and their daughter Mija.


Stacey Summerfield
Stacey Summerfield joins the Advancement Office as Director of Institutional Advancement. She comes to KUA from the Office of Advancement at Dartmouth College, where she most recently served as Executive Director for Campaign Initiatives and Academic Coordination. Ms. Summerfield has also worked in the advancement offices at The College of William & Mary, The University of Chicago, and Northwestern University. She holds a B.A. in pyschology, literature, and cultural studies from The College of William & Mary, and a M.A. in liberal studies from Northwestern University. She lives in Lyme, NH, with her husband Toby, and their children Watson and HG.
