KUA falls to Tilton

Yes, the Wildcats were swept by Tilton in their opening weekend, but the good news is that the two teams finally got to play. The games were fast-paced, saw very few penalties, and featured good scoring opportunities for both sides. On Friday, the Wildcats had some good chances, and appeared to score a goal that caromed out of the back of the goal and into play, but the final was 4 – 0. On Saturday, Dan Guerra struck first for the Wildcats, but Tilton fought back and took the lead. Owen Lewis scored in the third period, with assists from linemates Ray Thurston and Isaac Bliss, but it was not enough. Trey Masson was strong in the net for KUA, at one point stopping a virtual breakaway, and a number of other players had good weekends as well. All twenty skaters saw significant amounts of ice time, and we are looking ahead to two games against New Hampton next weekend.
