Wildcats Lose 0-3 against Proctor

The Wildcats traveled to Proctor Academy for their second game on Saturday afternoon. The Hornets came out strong on the first whistle. Quickly attacking the Wildcats defense, but KUA did not give up that easily. Avery Holland, Maddy Bridge, Taryn Boyer, Eva Joslin, Fiona Spence, Libby Kotei-Fearon, and Lia Hegarty all contributed to outstanding defensive efforts to keep the ball out of the zone. Indigo Kopp is the MVP again. She gave the Wildcats a fighting chance for all of her saves in net, most notably her jumping save on a direct kick to end the first half at 1-0. The girls came out with the same energy in the second half. The midfield worked tirelessly running up and down the field. Lilly Hines, Athena Werner, Margot Frost, Misora Hashiramoto, Sky McIntyre, Lindsey Patten, and Caroline Spector-Townsend led the midfield and ensured the defense was supported throughout the game. We saw a few good runs from Caroline Sheehan, Tatum Rivers, and Julia Chedel as our strikers that gave us hope when we needed it. The midfield and forwards were energetic but unfortunately, the Hornets did not let up. After many attempts to score and keep the ball on the offensive side, the Hornets extended their lead to three. The Wildcats will play St. Paul's School in their home opener at 3:30 PM this coming Saturday.
