KUA fell behind 0-1 early in the 1st period, but quickly countered when Morgan Walsh found a loose puck in front of the Tilton net and buried her first goal of the year. The goal was assisted by Aurora Braswell. The score remained tied heading into the 2nd period. KUA came out flying in the 2nd and peppered the Tilton net with shots, but could not find a way to take the lead. More of the same in the 3rd period as KUA controlled the puck and worked away on the tight Tilton defense. In the end, it was Tilton that capitalized on a chance of its own and took a 2-1 lead with 2:57 to play in the 3rd period. Despite a final push with goaltender Amelie Poirier pulled for the extra attacker, the girls went unrewarded for a solid effort and a season-high 38 shots on goal.
KUA’s schedule continues with a neutral site game at St. Paul’s on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 3:30pm.
