  • Adjunct AP Biology Teacher

     
    Kimball Union is seeking an experienced and innovative Biology teacher to become an active adjunct member of the KUA community, teaching two or possibly three sections in the science department.  These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
    • Plan and teach two possibly three sections of AP Biology
    • Pursue continuous growth and development in understanding and implementation of effective instructional practices
    • Contribute knowledge, expertise, and passion to the on-going collaborative effort to innovate and improve KUA’s curriculum
    An ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications:
    • A bachelor’s degree in a related science, education or a field closely related to either; a graduate degree in education or science is strongly preferred
    • 3-5 years (or more) of teaching high school Biology
    • Facility with Mac OS, SMARTboard technologies, Google apps, and other education-enhancing products is preferred
    • Flexibility, resilience, and creativity; the ability to create and execute ideas in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Impeccable judgement evidenced by an ability to navigate difficult situations and decisions
    • Quick learner who desires (and is responsive to) feedback
    • Outstanding interpersonal skills and a track record for building strong relationships
    • Strong analytical skills and an ability to learn new systems quickly
    • Ability to plan and execute multiple detail-heavy projects
    • Personal dedication to investing in the lives of young people
    • Sincere commitment to learn and integrate into the culture of KUA

  • Annual Fund Director


    The Annual Fund Director has a convincing track record of developing and implementing an effective, comprehensive annual fund program. Reporting to the Director of Advancement and partnering with the advancement staff, this manager develops and implements the annual fund strategies and programs that include the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of annual gifts from trustees, alumni, parents, and friends, including personal solicitations, e-communication, and direct mail.

    This key leader has direct contact with a diverse, passionate, intellectual and extremely well educated contributor and volunteer base.

    An experienced and motivated Annual Fund Director with strong strategic and tactical management skills and a determined commitment to purpose will help the institution realize its long-term financial goals.  A full job description can be found here.

  • Custodian

     
    Kimball Union Academy has an opening for a full time Custodian/Housekeeper to assist in the day-to-day operations of all Housekeeping functions. Primary responsibilities include providing support to the Housekeeping Supervisor, participating in and enforcing quality assurance for the Housekeeping Department and department cost control measures. Multiple event setups throughout the year and moving of furniture.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years housekeeping experience. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff members and create a comfortable environment.

  • Full time Groundskeeper


    Kimball Union has an opening for a full time groundskeeper to independently perform general grounds keeping activities in all types of weather in order to maintain a well-groomed campus. Must be physically able to perform outdoor, all weather work and lift up to 75 pounds. Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. Assist in the operation and maintenance of athletic fields, hockey rink and Nordic trails. May be required to transport students to athletic events as needed.
