Fine Arts
Kimball Union Academy offers a wide range of fine arts classes from the introductory to the AP levels.  Taught by teachers who are all working artists, students will learn to work in materials such as oil and acrylic paint, pencil and charcoal, wood, clay and print film. Our courses promote the cultivation of the mind by integrating history, theory and aesthetics within a hands-on productive environment. All of our courses provide students the opportunity to look within themselves while forging their own artistic vision.
2-D Fine Art and Art History
Through hands-on practice, students learn the principles of art and design. As they observe, compose and create their artwork, students develop confidence in their own decision-making processes and discover their unique creative voices.  In AP Art History students learn about the history of man through the art we have created over the millennia.
