It is important to note that the admissions and financial aid applications are separate processes.
If an accepted student’s performance in school drops substantially after acceptance and prior to matriculation, the admissions office reserves the right to revoke some or all of the financial support provided by Kimball Union.
In order to standardize the process of evaluating each applicant’s need, Kimball Union uses a third party called School and Student Services for Financial Aid (SSS). Much of the financial aid application is processed directly through this company.
A complete financial aid application consists of the following documents:
* Parent Financial Statement (PFS) which is sent directly to School and Student Services (SSS) in Princeton, New Jersey. All contributing members of the family must fill out this form. This can also be filled out online on the SSS website. * Federal Income Tax Returns (all pages and schedules) for any living guardians or contributors (sent to Kimball Union). * W-2 forms (sent to Kimball Union). * Business/Farm Statement, if you own a business or farm (sent to Kimball Union).
All of the necessary forms can be downloaded from the SSS website. If you decide that you would like to apply but are having difficulty accessing them, please call us at 603-469-2100 and request a financial aid packet.

Please be sure that the student’s name is clearly stated on each document that is sent to Kimball Union. No award is considered final until we have all of the documents listed above. You may find that you will need to submit these forms before your income tax forms are completed. If so, please estimate to the best of your ability.

We ask that non-custodial parents complete a PFS application as well. This form should be sent to SSS in Princeton, or can be filled out online. It is our hope that both the custodial and non-custodial parents will provide financial support to aid in the cost of a Kimball Union education.
Approximately 3 weeks after SSS receives the PFS forms, a computerized summary of your application will be sent to Kimball Union. Part of the summary is an estimated parent contribution that we will use to guide us in the awarding of aid. We may contact you if we have any questions regarding your application. You do not need to contact us. If you qualify for aid, and if you submitted all forms by the deadlines, our financial aid package will be sent to you with your admissions decision. If any part of the application was late, your financial aid decision could be delayed. You may receive a copy of this report by adding "Family Report" under the section entitled Schools Selected to receive the Report of Family Contribution for this applicant.
A family’s share of the cost of a Kimball Union education is determined through a careful consideration of income, expenses, assets, debts, the number of family members, and the number of children attending tuition charging schools. In every situation, we do our best to meet the needs of your family. We do have limited funds, so we are unable to completely meet the needs of every family who applies for aid. We encourage you to consider other forms of assistance if you do not qualify or you are dissatisfied with the award. You may ask for reconsideration of your aid package only if there is new information that you need to share with the financial aid office.
The payment of tuition can be financed through Tuition Management Systems, the company that currently administers monthly payment plans for Kimball Union. Detailed information on this will be forwarded to families at the time of admission on or after March 10. A modest, non-refundable application fee is required to participate in these financing options.
