The Learning Center

KUA’s Learning Center provides structured academic support programs tailored for students with a wide variety of learning styles. Using a strength-based approach, our experienced Learning Center faculty guide students to develop individual strategies and skills to become more effective learners equipped to tackle a deep and broad college preparatory curriculum.

Students actively and collaboratively engage in their own learning by:

Improving study habits
Developing organizational skills
Building confidence
Learning and practicing self-advocacy techniques

These skills are used daily to manage academic challenges at Kimball Union and beyond. Our program helps students become aware of their own learning strengths and how to build on those for a positive academic experience. Drawing on the rich educational resources of the Upper Valley, the Learning Center staff works collaboratively with faculty members and a network of professional tutors to support students individually and in small groups, helping every student strive for greater success.
