Reference & Instruction
The librarians are available on school days to assist with the use of materials located in the library, as well with as with online resources. The library also offers workshops on using the library and the online databases throughout the year. KUA students, faculty, and staff may email questions about research or the library's resources anytime to firstname.lastname@example.org
Teachers are encouraged to schedule a session in the library for their classes. A librarian will help students formulate their research questions, construct effective online searches, and locate materials. The librarians also develop course-specific resource guides, or Libguides
, for classes. Please speak with Marianna McKim (email email@example.com
) to schedule a class.
Classes are always welcome to use the library as space permits. The library houses a number of workstations. Priority is given to school work and research.
Kimball Union's library is a member of New Hampshire's statewide Inter-Library Loan system. This allows us to borrow books not held in our library from other libraries. In addition, KUA maintains a separate Inter-Library Loan agreement with Dartmouth College. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
to place a request.
