"Cats Swat Hornets

Thomas S Lord
The KUA JV girls' basketball squad played its most complete game of the year and picked up their second win of the young season by topping Proctor for the second time. It was a total team effort on both ends of the floor as the 'Cats moved the ball with authority to all parts of the court.Senior Kate Mackey again dominated the glass and scored 17 points, but four other members of the squad entered the scoring column, too. Senior Vanessa Mateko, new to the game this year, was relentless on both ends, and scored eight points and Junior Jane Strauss tallied her first bucket of the season.
