On April 23 Dr. Jayne Knott presented an E.E. Just Environmental Science Seminar in Hayes Auditorium hosted by Blaine Kopp, Louis Munro ’57 Chair, Environmental Science. Dr. Knott currently works at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at the University of New Hampshire.
Dr. Knott has been working in civil engineering, hydrogeology, and environmental consulting since the 1980s and is active at the national level in climate change adaptation planning. Her presentation explored the evidence for man-made climate change, potential impacts in the Northeast, and challenges in addressing these issues, with some discussion of her own research. Global and STEM scholars earned credits by attending the presentation.
