Wildcats battle Wildcats on the frozen tundra

The word of the day - cold.

KUA faced the Vermont Academy JV 1 team on a brutally cold final day of the season. The KUA Wildcats finished with one of their stronger efforts of the year, but the  VA Wildcats were bigger, faster and had the wind at their backs in the second half. Senior Nuri Lesbec controlled the mid-field with his precision passes, seniors Kyle Young and Ben Weise were solid in the back and keeper Max van Dijk was outstanding, but the final score was VA 3 – KUA 0. This was an unusual season with seven of our sixteen games ending in a tie, but every single player, from our three seniors to our ten freshmen, worked hard and enjoyed playing together. As coaches, we offer our sincere thanks and congratulations to each of them.
