After taking a 4-0 lead early in the second period, the Wildcats had to weather a Tilton storm, but eventually held on to win 5-4 on Saturday in Meriden. Zach Whitehead (1 G), Luca Fantilli (1 G, 1 A), and Paul Dore (1 G) scored for KUA in the first and Sullivan Mack (2 G, 1 A) tallied two minutes into the second to stake the home team to a 4-0 lead. Tilton then answered with a goal midway through the period, but Mack scored a shorthanded goal 20 seconds later to restore the four-goal lead. Tilton did not quit, however, scoring twice more in the second and once more at the beginning of the third to make it a one-goal game. KUA goalie Veeti Kohvakka shut the door the rest of the way, making 32 saves for the win. Tomas Mazura added three assists for the Wildcats while Teddy Griffin added two. Adam Fantilli and Lucas Constantine also added helpers.
