Four-Goal Comeback Lifts KUA to Victory at Governor's
Senior Sullivan Mack scored a hat-trick, including the overtime winner, and junior Zak Brice made 34 saves as the Wildcats overcame a 3-0 first-period deficit to rally to beat Governor’s Academy 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday in Byfield, MA. Trailing 3-0 in the first, the Wildcats got a key goal from Mack with 10 seconds to play, giving the visitors momentum heading into the second period. A powerplay goal from senior Paul Dore following an important 2-on-1 save from Brice midway through the second made the score 3-2, where it remained until Mack scored with five minutes to play in the third to send the game into overtime. In the extra session, senior Tomas Mazura (3 A) carried the puck over the offensive blueline before sending a backhand pass to Mack, who tapped in the winner to complete the comeback.
