SSAT, PSAT, SAT or ACT test scores are normally required for all applicants. Due to COVID-19, testing is optional (though recommended) for the 2021-2022 academic year.

Most candidates in grades 9-11 submit SSAT scores.
Candidates taking the PSAT or SAT or ACT between September and January may submit either of those scores in place of SSAT scores.
Students whose applications are submitted prior to February 1 will receive admission decisions on March 10. After February 1, decisions and financial aid will be considered through rolling admission.
In late March or early April, accepted students are welcomed back to campus for Admitted Students Day, KUA's revisit program.
Students who receive a decision on March 10 are required to formally accept their offer of admission and return the signed contract and deposit to Kimball Union Academy by April 10.
Families who are applying for admission and requesting financial aid for September 2021 should submit their online Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) through the School and Students Service for Financial Aid (SSS) website by February 1st for a March 10th decision.
