Strategic Plan

Ascent, Kimball Union’s strategic plan, is a community wide effort developed over several years, and outlines ways to accomplish our goals over the next five years. Together with the leadership of our Board, the generous philanthropy of our community, and the energy we’ve harnessed in support of Kimball Union, we are ready to tackle the challenges that lie ahead.

We are committed to finding solutions to facility needs, and have identified areas needing immediate improvements. Our faculty has repeatedly assembled an incredible collection of K-Term offerings for students to stretch their modes of thinking, and the first class of Global Scholars graduated in May of 2017, with a robust cohort of new Global and Art Scholars immediately following. These are just a few current examples of areas Ascent addresses.

We remain and value that Kimball Union is:
  • A place of balance between academics, athletics, and the arts
  • A collaborative environment that inspires community and fosters leadership through opportunity
  • A school continually on the rise and always forward thinking

In Ascent, Kimball Union’s strategic plan, you will find a culmination of a thorough analysis of every facet of our school and answers to the most pressing issues facing schools of our kind: What must we preserve at all costs, and what must we change for the better?
I invite you to spend time with our strategic plan to fully understand the needs of our school today and into the future. Collectively, we have the strength to have a huge impact, and are full of pride for the Kimball Union of today, and its future.

In the days ahead, stay tuned through our blog and social media channels for updates on our progress, advancements, and ways to further support Kimball Union.
