|  | Each year Kimball Union students have numerous opportunities to travel abroad. Past trips have included Spain, Paris, India, China and Ecuador, to name a few. This spring we are pleased to offer trips to Costa Rica and China.
We also offer a year-abroad study program for students in their junior year at the Woodstock School in India.

Spring Break March Trip to Costa Rica: KUA faculty will be leading a small group of KUA students to Costa Rica’s world renown tropical rainforest on the Osa Peninsula. The Osa Peninsula is described by National Geographic as “the most biologically intense place of earth!” The Osa also offers a unique cultural immersion travel opportunity in a rural Central American community. Trip activities include the following: explore the Osa’s tropical rainforest and wildlife (monkeys, dolphins, caiman, crocodiles, and toucans just to name a few), zip-line through its canopy, relax on its tropical beach, surf its waves, immerse ourselves in its rural culture and Spanish language, and help with important community service projects.
Trip Dates: March 3 – March 14.

China Trip - Spring Break 2012 Join KUA Mandarin teacher Mary Exton and explore her native China through her eyes. From The Great Wall to Snow Mountain and JiuZhai National Park to the City of Dali, you will gain a unique and unforgettable perspective on one of the world’s oldest and most remarkable civilizations. Experience the culture and history, and explore China’s beautiful and diverse landscape during this two-week adventure.
Trip Dates: March 3 -14
Cost: The cost per students is $3700 (includes visa and airfare).A deposit in the amount of $1500 is due by December 20, 2011 (Trip is dependent upon getting a minimum of 7 participants.)
This trip is open to students and to parents.
