Our Students
KUA summer students come from across the U.S. and the globe. Adventurous and independent, each come with diverse interests—excited to meet new and interesting friends and eager to rise to new challenges. Whether you are from New England, Georgia, California, or visiting us from Turkey, Spain or Chile, you’re sure to develop friendships and experiences that last a lifetime.
Living on Campus
Living away from home is an integral part of Kimball Union Academy summer programs . All boarding students live together with roommates in our residence halls. Whether you’re here for one session or two, you will share a room with at least one other person. Our experienced residential staff specialize in organizing team building activities and events.
Our Faculty & Staff
Our talented and enthusiastic faculty and staff are the backbone of our summer programs. Program coordinators who are experts in their field develop curricula and bring a rich background of knowledge, teaching and management experience to our programs. Counselors are responsible and energetic young teachers, college and graduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence.
Safety & Supervision
Kimball Union Academy holds participant safety as the number one priority. The campus is located in a small New England village in the Upper Valley region of New Hampshire. This safe secluded campus is just minutes from one of the United States’ premier medical institutions – Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Hospital.
Both on campus and during field trips, a fully staffed summer program team ensures participants are always supervised and are hired and trained to follow important safety procedures, such as:
- A minimum 1:8 counselor to student ratio at all times.
- Residences are locked by 10 pm.
- Daily nursing presence plus availability of 24-hour on call nursing.
- All faculty and counselors are certified in CPR and First Aid.
