Golf Returns to KUA

Kimball Union Academy has rekindled a golf program slated to begin this spring.

About the Program:

Kimball Union Academy has rekindled a golf program slated to begin this spring. They will be playing and practicing at the nearby Hanover Country Club home of The Dartmouth College Golf Teams. KUA will practice and receive instruction four days a week and have two matches a week. Currently, there are 17 students signed up for the team meaning it will be co-ed and broken into both a Junior Varsity and Varsity team. Six players play in each match with two alternates, the other team members will play the opposite nine on the day of home matches.  KUA golfers will be given individual exercises, strength training regimes and drills based upon their individual strengths and weaknesses. The student athletes will also learn about the history of the game, strategy, rules and etiquette. Based upon preliminary conversations and rapport, it’s an optimistic assumption that there will be plenty of quality players all vying for positions to play in matches. Most matches will be against the Lakes Region conference against school such as NMH, Holderness, Proctor, Deerfield and Tilton with special matches against schools like Dexter and Portsmouth Abbey.
