Kimball Union Academy 1813

Introducing our most recent litter of piglets, farrowed near the end of March. The piglets are part of Kimball Union's animal husbandry program.Now in it’s third academic year, this program was envisioned as a way to connect students with their own food sources. It began with the rearing of hogs. These hardy animals convert waste dining hall food back into wholesome, local, and humanely raised meat. The majority have already been sold, raising money to support the school’s investment in the program.
