Talented Alumnae Artists Return to KUA

Last week, two talented artists from the class of 2009, returned to campus to showcase their work through song and imagery.  Meghan Gallagher '09's impressive photography graces the walls of the Taylor Art Gallery through March. In Winter We Sleep is a series of photographs that create a narrative for the viewer. Often playful, these pictures provide solice from the long, cold, and snowy winter!

Addie Herbert ’09 performed at a “Flick Gig” on the main stage of the Flickinger Arts Center. Inspired by American roots music, her original songs were highlighted by Addie’s capable guitar and banjo accompaniments. With their compelling and sometimes wistful lyrics, Addie’s beautiful tunes featured her not only her singing voice, but also her original voice as poet, story teller, and painter of character.

A large and appreciative audience welcomed both artists warmly as they returned to campus.
